The lawn mower motor is the core power unit of electric landscaping equipment, and the assembly process directly affects the product’s yield rate, operational stability, and service life. In the early days of the industry, motor assembly relied entirely on manual labor. The process was complex, making it difficult to maintain consistent assembly precision, resulting in poor product consistency and low production capacity. With the upgrading of the manufacturing industry, semi-automated assembly equipment has gradually become widespread, effectively reducing human assembly errors and improving basic production efficiency. Today, smart manufacturing technologies have been fully implemented. Fully automated assembly lines, vision-based positioning and inspection, and robotic precision press-fitting enable fully unmanned assembly of stators, rotors, end caps, and seals throughout the entire process. Combined with in-line performance testing, this ensures strict control over core performance metrics such as torque, noise, and water resistance. This article traces the evolution of lawn mower motor assembly processes, compares the advantages and disadvantages of each stage, and systematically analyzes a smart manufacturing upgrade plan for horticultural motors.
